Job Overview

Reporting to the SQA Manager, the SQA Engineer I will grasp complete knowledge of the product, create and execute test cases, properly document and report issues and work closely with developers to assist resolving these issues.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test cases, test suites and test plans for new or existing game themes to ensure effective and thorough test coverage to include software functionality, regression testing, negative testing, etc.
  • Analyze game design, game logic and mathematical outcome to ensure integrity and fairness
  • Review products’ functional requirements, product designs, jurisdiction regulations to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and completeness
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and release dates; provide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project
  • Conduct software functional, performance and regression test by executing manual and automation test to validate software design, functionality, compatibility and performance
  • Identify, analyze, and report software defects to software developers in defect tracking system, provide issue logs, recommend possible solutions and timely support in troubleshooting
  • Track bug resolutions using defect tracking system and verify fixes in a timely manner
  • Validate code changes to ensure area of impact for regression testing
  • Deliver product demonstration and provide detailed completion report and release document at the end of each project
  • Assist in reproducing defects reported in the field and at third-party certification labs


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in software development or equivalent work experience
  • Broad understanding of quality engineering principles and test methodologies
  • Ability to leverage experience to deliver reliable and repeatable tests
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience with Load/Performance testing concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Academic and/or working knowledge of SQL skills
  • Academic and/or working knowledge of Unix/Linux skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
