Quality Assurance Engineer Department: Operations Location: Duluth, GA About the role: WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our team. This role is responsible for promoting, implementing and monitoring initiatives in order for the company to comply with requirements and implement best practices for quality assurance. Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce costs. Primary Responsibilities: Implement lessons learned from issues reported on the shop floor. Use investigative techniques and perform root cause analysis and other methodologies to address complex problems and effectively deploy corrective actions. Develop and deploy quality-related training programs and educate employees on company and ISO 9001 requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Coordinate and perform internal audits. Monitor and report on quality control key performance indicators and corrective actions. Interface with Engineering, Service, Process and Production departments to optimize processes and reduce costs. Interface with headquarters to align and update quality initiatives based on history and best practices. Promote the QMS and safety initiatives. Responsible for end-to-end technical customer complaints. Coordinate resource usage with Factory and Service. Monitor and report quality-related KPIs. Manage the Quality Index System - QIS. Manage incoming inpection and final test contol plans in SAP. Manage the QM module in SAP. Evaluate component deviations from the quality standpoint. Other duties and tasks as assigned. Education: Engineering degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge / training: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard required. Knowledge of ISO 19011 preferred. Root cause analysis and other investigative techniques, including statistics required. Experience with SAP environment required. Knowledge of Automation products required. Knowledge of WEG Automation products and UL requirements a plus. Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus. Knowledge of relevant requirements and industry standards. Ability to analyze data and identify trends, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience with internal audits, problem solving and developing corrective action plans. Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with hands-on experience with QMS and quality control. About WEG Electric Corp.
