Quality Manager – Manufacturing Operations
Expert Technical Solutions is in search of a Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance processes within a prominent manufacturing environment. This pivotal role reports directly to the VP of Operations and is essential in ensuring that all products and services adhere to established quality benchmarks.
The Quality Manager will be tasked with planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives that guarantee quality throughout production and distribution. Utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills, the manager will assess systems, identify discrepancies against business requirements and industry standards, and formulate effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze customer requirements to create efficient quality processes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Engineering teams to develop and evaluate product specifications and testing protocols.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all facets of Quality Control, including incoming inspections, in-process evaluations, and final assessments.
- Manage Quality Assurance activities, encompassing training, documentation, investigations, corrective actions, statistical monitoring, and audits.
- Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing safety, quality, and operational efficiency while minimizing costs.
- Coordinate with Production and Materials Managers to align Quality activities with production and shipping timelines.
- Prioritize tasks for the Quality team based on organizational and customer needs.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements and change management.
- Recommend enhancements to departmental policies and procedures.
- Oversee employee relations within the Quality team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.
- Foster interdepartmental relationships, making decisions that align with the broader organizational goals.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and promote a culture of open communication within the department.
- Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Management within a small to midsize manufacturing setting.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proven expertise in manufacturing and quality systems.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience is required.
- ASQ certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of quality systems and best practices.
- Ability to analyze issues, determine root causes, and devise corrective and preventive measures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical abilities, with knowledge of data analysis and statistical methods.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
- Strong presentation skills suitable for diverse audiences.
