About the Position:

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II. This position plays a crucial role in fostering, executing, and overseeing initiatives to ensure the organization adheres to quality standards and implements best practices. The role involves extensive collaboration with various departments to enhance processes and minimize expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply insights gained from issues identified on the production floor. Utilize investigative methods and conduct root cause analysis to tackle intricate challenges and effectively implement corrective measures.
  • Design and implement training programs related to quality and educate staff on company policies and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and industry benchmarks. Organize and conduct internal audits.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to quality control and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Process, and Production teams to enhance processes and reduce costs. Work with headquarters to align and refresh quality initiatives based on historical data and best practices.
  • Advocate for the Quality Management System (QMS) and safety initiatives.
  • Oversee the complete process of technical customer complaints. Coordinate resource allocation with Factory and Service.
  • Monitor and report on quality-related KPIs. Manage the Quality Index System (QIS).
  • Oversee incoming inspection and final testing control plans within SAP.
  • Manage the Quality Management module in SAP.
  • Assess component deviations from a quality perspective.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is required; knowledge of ISO 19011 is preferred.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and other investigative techniques, including statistical methods.
  • Experience working within an SAP environment is required.
  • Understanding of Automation products is essential; familiarity with WEG Automation products and UL standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish is advantageous.
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze data and recognize trends, with a strong attention to detail and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits, problem-solving, and developing corrective action plans.
Experience:
  • 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with practical experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality control.
