Hello Our very innovative North San Diego client has partnered with us to help find a very talented Supply Chain Manager.


As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing all components for developing supplier relationships, reducing BOM (Bill of Materials) cost, and transitioning them from low volume to high volume production.


You will:

Create RQFs (Request for Quote) and SOW (Statement of Work), analyze and clarify supplier quotations, request spend approval, issue POs (Purchase Order), and manage shipping labels with customs documents

Negotiate NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreement), MSAs (Master Supply Agreement), and low-spend contractual agreements

Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and management

Provide routine administrative support across all levels of the company

Down-select quotes through a formal sourcing council with Management

Conduct virtual or in-person meetings with suppliers

Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) and SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) with vendors


Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions affecting the supply chain

Establish, evaluate, and report on KPIs (Key Performance Indicator)


Your skills include:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, supply chain, or finance discipline preferred

Being an open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem solve independently on multiple tasks or projects

Experience sourcing electric vehicle parts: high voltage battery systems, safety restraint systems, chassis and suspension components, solar, powertrain, thermal and HVAC systems

7+ years in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Project Mgmt

Experience in Supply Chain Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or as an Automotive Engineer is a plus

Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is a plus

Proven experience in ramping production output, duplicating lines, and transferring products

Experience tracking inventory performance and developing long-term improvement plans

Proficiency in project management, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and NPI (New Product Introduction) practices

Experience in meeting product delivery deadlines on budget

Proven experience in part price reduction

Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment

An ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel

Strong interpersonal skills; resilience to handle urgent requests and minimal information

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills


Passion for results, strategy, and hands-on execution

Ability to manage difficult suppliers and resolve disputes while maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal staff

Strong written and verbal communication skills with organizational and program management capabilities

Professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Italian, Mandarin, Korean, or Spanish is a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, JIRA, and NetSuite ERP

Knowledge of CATIA V6 and 3D Experience PLM is a plus

Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes


You are expected to:

Achieve 30-60-90-day plan o 30-day target: Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities as a Supply Chain Manager independently; working knowledge and integration of

their purpose and culture o 60-day target: Implementation of knowledge gained in first 30 days to contribute to their mission

o 90-day target: Ability to utilize knowledge and experience gained in first 60 days to appropriately and effectively train others and/or lead a team
