Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Improvement Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry, focusing on the distribution center side of our operations. The Process Improvement Manager will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes across multiple sites, overseeing a team of up to 20 employees, and directly supervising 4 direct reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in continuous improvement, auditing, process quality improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, with extensive experience in QMS and SAP. Lean Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team across multiple distribution sites.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and systems in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process quality and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure its effective implementation and maintenance.
  • Utilize SAP to track and manage quality-related data and metrics.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and support overall business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the quality assurance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance management within the distribution, warehousing, and/or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with continuous improvement methodologies, auditing, process quality improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Extensive experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and SAP.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
