Disclaimer: This position is contingent upon a contract award. Employment will commence only if the contract is awarded to Allied Universal Security Services. We anticipate hiring for these positions in Q4 2024 or Q1 2025, based on the contract award timeline.


If awarded, the Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager in overseeing the security operations at a single airport under the assigned Airport Authority on behalf of Allied Universal Security Services. Each Assistant Site Manager is responsible for managing a specific shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and a functional area (e.g., Scheduling, Hiring, Training). They ensure compliance with Federal Transportation (Aviation) Security Regulations and assist in managing security staff and operations. The position assists the Site Manager with all supervisory, training, and operations functions at the assigned site in accordance with post orders, client instructions, and all internal procedures. This may include hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff, providing quality customer service, and maintain or oversee maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel.


Responsibilities:

  • Secondary Point of Contact: Serve as the secondary point of contact for the Contractor and act as the Site Manager in their absence.
  • Oversee and manage the security operations for their designated shift, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Lead and manage a specific functional area (Scheduling, Hiring, Training, etc.) as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Prepare and manage work schedules for security staff to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Prepare Call Order documentation and manage billing processes as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Provide support and assistance to employees, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence, working 40 hours per week, and be available for non-standard work hours based on shift requirements.
  • Ensure all security operations comply with Federal Transportation Security Regulations and other relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the training and development of security staff to ensure they meet all regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to shift operations, functional area responsibilities, and incidents.
  • Assist in managing payroll and scheduling for the security team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the hiring and training process for new employees, maintaining a skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Maintain security equipment, overseeing repairs and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications (Must Have) :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in security management, preferably in aviation security.
  • At least 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing a large security team.
  • Experience working in the airport environment in any discipline. Experience working in an airport environment encompasses a variety of tasks and responsibilities tailored to the unique operational, security, and regulatory demands of an airport and can include security, concessions, ground operations, air operations, and/or customer service.
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize multiple systems and applications.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions
  • Ability to coordinate and oversee various security-related activities and projects.
  • Proficient in using security management software and technology.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain Airport ID, local Guard Card/License, valid driver's license.

Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Associate degree in business administration, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field with a minimum of three (2) years of management experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of management experience


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

  • Law enforcement, military and/or contract or proprietary security services experience
  • Airport Certified Employee - Security (ACE) Certification Is highly desired or ability to obtain within 6 months of assignment.
  • Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with Federal Transportation Security Regulations.
  • Specific experience with 49 CFR 1542 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with alarm monitoring systems and emergency response procedures
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, hiring processes, and security system administration
  • Experience managing security operations in an airport environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
  • Advanced degrees or additional certifications in security management or related fields.
  • Proven track record of improving security processes and outcomes.
