Our direct long-time financial client in mid-town New York City is seeking to bring a consultant on board in a contract/contract-to-hire Business / Program Manager role within their Corporate & Financials Systems Technology Group.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days per week in the office.
This is a senior level position that reports to a Managing Director. In this role, you will assist in driving governance, effective communication, project execution, and Technology strategy across the entire Corporate and Finance Systems Technology Group.
The ideal candidate is a leader who will create a sense of energy, ownership, detail orientation, collaboration, and personal commitment to the work. Key to the position are the abilities to execute and drive project deliverables, build strong client relationships, and create a sense of teamwork and collaboration.
This role also has a strong focus on project financials reporting and working with the Chief Accounting Officer of the firm regarding budgets, actuals, forecasts, etc. Any experience with OneStream is a plus.
This role requires a candidate who has the ability to interact with, and build relationships with, multiple stakeholders across the organization at all levels. Candidates MUST have experience within a financial services firm and a solid and consistent work history. This is a highly visible role within the firm and will interact with C-level executives. Role is slated for perm headcount in the future so there is definitely an opportunity to move to a FTE role for the right person (Director level or above). Any prior experience with global professional services firm is a big plus.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement business strategies that align with the Technology department’s goals and the organization’s overall mission.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the Technology division.
Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the Technology department.
- Monitor and control expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
- Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management.
Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline business processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve operational workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and budget.
- Ensure adherence to the Project Management framework.Train and educate the team as needed.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Assist project team in identifying risks, issues and path to green scenarios.
- Lead project review processes, including ROIs and After-Action Review.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to the CFT Technology business operations team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Guide team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
- Be an advocate for the team, highlighting accomplishments and communicating successes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between the Technology department and other business units.
- Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and support for Technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business management within a technology-driven organization environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery. Large-scale Finance project delivery a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with technology product development and lifecycle management.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in relevant business software and tools.
