About the Role

Reporting to the Director of IT, Systems, Networks, and Security, the Senior Systems Engineer at XTM Inc./QRails Inc., you will be responsible for upgrading, managing and maintaining the Company’s existing servers and systems, working closely with your colleagues to provide solutions to issues and support for projects in a fast-paced and changing environment.


What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Upgrade/Manage/Maintain existing Servers and Systems.
  2. Design, implement and document new systems.
  3. Provide recommendations on options, risks, costs, and benefits for systems designs.
  4. Verify system designs adhere to company architecture standards, including compliance with SOC, PCI and NIST frameworks.
  5. Collaborate with team members to develop project support plans, schedules, and assignments.
  6. Translate business and function requirements into technical specifications that support integrated and sustainable designs.
  7. Serve as a liaison with business partners, internal resources, and solutions.
  8. Collaborate with IT\Dev teams and key business partners to troubleshoot complex systems and provide solutions, as appropriate.
  9. Create and review technical documentation.
  10. Assist with after-hours and on-call support.


What You Bring to the Table

  1. At least 5 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role, with a strong background in Systems Administration and Security.
  2. Expert knowledge of general systems, infrastructure and hardware including Server Virtualization, Storage Systems, Networking, Anti-Virus, Scripting and Automation.
  3. Ability to create accurate diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  4. Proven track record of managing large-scale projects.


You’ll Get Bonus Points For

  1. Certification such as MCSE, VCP-DCV, or equivalents.
  2. Deep understanding of Servers, Virtualization, Microsoft and Linux Operating systems, Active Directory and Networking.
  3. Previous experience in fintech or related Finance Industry
  4. Deep understanding of Security and Compliance protocols, standards and methodologies, such as SOC and PCI.
  5. Experience with Azure and related cloud Services.
