Location: Minneapolis, MN

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $70 – 110k DOE


Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical donor screening testing on human cells, tissues, and cellular- and tissued based products (HCT/P’s)
  • Exposure to HLA cells in CLIA certified lab
  • Manages daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient sample flow and testing.
  • Recruits, mentors, evaluates, supervises, and terminates staff as needed.
  • Provides guidance to resolve operational issues encountered by laboratory staff.
  • Supervises data verification and rectifies inaccuracies prior to processing or release.
  • Facilitates orientation of new laboratory staff and familiarizes them with their roles.
  • Conducts timely investigations in collaboration with Quality Assurance on quality incidents such as customer complaints, non-conformances, and audit findings.
  • Identifies opportunities for process enhancement to align with client expectations and company goals.
  • Recommends laboratory equipment acquisitions.
  • Compiles statistical data.
  • Manages inventory levels and ordering of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Acts as a liaison with external vendors.
  • Contributes to budget development and monitors laboratory expenditures.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, cGMP requirements, and facility maintenance.
  • Maintains quality management system, emphasizing good workmanship, adherence to SOPs, and accurate recordkeeping.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological sciences, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and teaching skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate team efforts.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations impacting clinical laboratory operations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities.
