Monday to Friday, alternating shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM and 9 AM to 5 PM
Employment Type:

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established techniques for sample preparation for laboratory analysis, utilizing equipment such as grinding mills and various comminution devices (e.g., blenders, Magic Bullet grinders, liquid nitrogen).
- Accurately label sample containers with unique identifiers assigned to each sample.
- Document sample preparation methods and delivery information within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Maintain the organization of samples by ensuring proper delivery and disposal as required.
- Process submission requests through external laboratories by logging samples and preparing them for dispatch.
- Comply with all laboratory safety and quality protocols (including PPE, GMP, OSHA, ISO).
- Empty washers and organize clean glassware into designated containers.
- Reload washers with soiled glassware using appropriate racks and wash cycles.
- Distribute clean glassware to laboratories and retrieve any dirty glassware containers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment, and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in utilizing multiple systems (LIMS, Salesforce, Outlook, OneNote, subcontract lab portals).
- Comprehensive understanding of food testing services.
Skills:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (5-6 hours daily).
- Competent in performing various tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, OSHA-approved safety glasses, laboratory coats, and cryogenic gloves.
