Global Director of Supply Chain

Job Summary

The Global Director of Supply Chain plays a critical role in ensuring the Supply Chain team provides solutions that enable, empower, and ease the experience of fun for our customers and their guests. The main responsibilities for this role are:

• Develop, implement, and own the supply chain strategy (not only determine the overall supply chain strategy but also ensure the Supply Chain team executes and delivers the strategic initiatives.
• Lead the team to deliver strategic initiatives which enhance, automate, simplify, and streamline the supply chain process.
• Think globally with one-collective unified approach representing all regions and ensuring all functions work in unison to delivery strategic initiatives which enhance the supply chain process. In addition, the Global Director of Supply Chain will:
• Lead, mentor, and coach Supply Chain team members through difficult events and communicate directly with customers and other departments if intervention is required.
• Investigate facts to get to the root cause to solve complicated problems.
• Use data analytics to make data-driven decisions and to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain processes, distribution, and logistics.
• Oversee all activities related to supply chain processes, distribution, and logistics to ensure that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Lead, monitor, and improve 3PL vendors performance.

In summary, the Global Director of Supply Chain Management has a broader, more strategic role versus the rest of the Supply Chain team (which tends to be more tactical). Overseeing the entire supply chain across the organization, including developing and implementing long-term supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall goals, while ensuring the integration and alignment of all supply chain functions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain.

Procurement Management:

• Partner with the Global Director of Procurement to lead supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
• Partner with the Global Director of Procurement to lead to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Partner with the Global Director of Procurement to monitor and evaluate supplier performance and take corrective actions as necessary.

Inventory Management:

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained at appropriate levels to meet customer demand without incurring excess costs.
• Lead, monitor, and improve 3PL vendors performance.

Logistics and Distribution:

• Oversee the logistics and distribution processes to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.
• Coordinate with logistics providers and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.
• Optimize distribution networks to improve delivery times and reduce costs.

Demand Forecasting:

• Analyze sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
• Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align supply chain activities with market demand.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks.
• Monitor global supply chain trends and regulations to anticipate potential disruptions.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.

Performance Metrics:

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
• Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to senior management.

Compliance and Sustainability:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, including responsible sourcing and waste reduction.
• Take responsibility for yearly audit; achieving standards and the reporting thereof.

Internal/External Relationships

• Develop relationships and build rapport with internal team members especially technical people, such as functional leaders and subject matter experts.
• Develop relationships and build rapport with internal team members in other departments, such as Business Systems, Development, Installation, Procurement, Sales, etc.

Qualifications/Education

• 10+ years' experience working in a fast-paced supply chain environments and line management.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or equivalent education.
