A company located in Montvale, NJ is seeking an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant candidate on a possible contract to hire basis who has recent hands-on experience overseeing a company’s month-end closing process. Qualified candidates are required to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field as well as experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or a Senior Accountant.



Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant

  • Taking ownership of monthly close
  • Account analysis
  • Reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • General ledger
  • Financial reporting preparation
  • Balance sheet analysis
  • Preparing audits
  • Month-end closing
  • Other senior accounting related functions



Requirements of the Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant

  • 3-4 plus years of recent Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or Senior Accountant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Recent experience overseeing the month-end closing process
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Great Plains experience is a plus
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills



Additional Details:

Assignment: Contract to Hire

Location: Montvale, NJ 07645



Salary: $60-70k/hr. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
