We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Car Rental Claims Representative to join our dynamic team.


Position Overview: The Car Rental Claims Representative is responsible for managing and processing claims related to vehicle damages, accidents, and losses. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in claims processing, preferably in the car rental or insurance industry.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Claims Processing: Receive, review, and process claims for vehicle damages, accidents, and losses.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers, insurance companies, and internal departments to gather necessary information and provide updates on claims status.
  • Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation is obtained and accurately recorded in the system, including police reports, photos, and repair estimates.
  • Assessment: Assess the validity of claims and determine the appropriate course of action based on company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with customers and insurance adjusters to reach fair and equitable resolutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on claims activities, trends, and outcomes for management review.
  • Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Fleet Management, Legal, and Finance, to ensure smooth claims processing and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims processing, preferably in the car rental or insurance industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with car rental operations and insurance claim processes.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license is required.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to vehicle inspection sites.
  • May require occasional travel to attend meetings or conduct inspections.
  • Standard working hours with the possibility of overtime during peak periods.
