Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of the overall social media strategy for Pickleball Central.
  • Work with key stakeholders to enhance the structure and establish goals for the social media team that align with the organizational vision of growth.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to create and maintain a content calendar for all social platforms and properties.
  • Work with various members of in-house creative and production teams, freelancers, and agencies to develop content for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the social media team and other organization members to lead player social media education, strategy, empowerment, and success.
  • Assist in the production of social analytics reports.
  • Stay aware of the latest industry trends and consumer and fan behaviors, inside and outside of sports, and apply insights into the creative and strategic approach.
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine how to leverage social media to reach various business objectives.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field, preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience working in social media marketing, content creation, and community engagement.
  • Understanding of pickleball a plus.
  • Creative writer, content strategist, and problem-solver who can multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong visual eye for social media graphics, photography, videos, copy, etc.
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices, social platforms, and different ways to utilize said platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok & YouTube) to engage fans and build a community.
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Consistently reflect strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be dependable, flexible & a reliable team player who can prioritize building interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings, including some nights, weekends, and holidays, and able and willing to travel to off-site events, etc., as needed.


This role will be on-site at our Dallas HQ, Seattle HQ, or remote opportunities for the right candidate.


The Social Media Associate will play a key role in helping Pickleball Central grow its social media presence, engage with fans, and build a strong community around pickleball. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative individual to join a dynamic team in a rapidly growing sport.
