Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior contributor to the end-to-end design, deployment, and management of cutting-edge Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies on a new and growing Data Security team.
  • Craft and enforce robust data security policies that shield the firm's information assets from unauthorized access, leaks, and breaches.
  • Serve as SME in the roll-out of Microsoft Purview on a new Data Security team.
  • Conduct proactive in-depth security risk assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying potential threats before they strike.
  • Be the frontline defender in data security incidents. Lead rapid response efforts, root cause analysis, and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future defenses.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and legal, to align data security initiatives with regulatory mandates and industry best practices.
  • Drive the development and execution of security awareness programs that instill a culture of vigilance and best practices across the organization.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating and implementing cutting-edge technologies and tools that enhance company-wide data security posture.
  • Provide clear, insightful reports to senior leadership on the state of data security and serve as an expert resource to cross-business teams internally.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in information security, with a strong emphasis on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data security in high-pressure environments.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC a plus.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Purview, DLP tools, encryption technologies, data classification, and access control mechanisms. Cloud-based (Azure) solutions experience is a major plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex security challenges with creativity and precision.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon into actionable insights for all stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a collaborative spirit, ready to dive into fast-paced, dynamic environments and make a tangible impact.
