Key responsibilities: Senior Manager, Portfolio Finance | Private Credit Valuation
- Lead the quarterly valuation process for the private credit investment portfolio consisting of multiple funds and investment vehicles including loans, structured products, and other debt instruments.
- Develop and maintain valuation models (including discounted cash flow, market multiple analysis, market transactions modeling, option pricing, etc.) and methodologies to assess the fair value of investments based on market data, financial analysis, and relevant valuation techniques.
- Review and validate third-party valuations and pricing sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of valuation inputs and assumptions.
- Monitor market trends, credit spreads, and other factors impacting the valuation of credit assets, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, assessing credit quality, risk factors, and valuation considerations.
- Evaluate complex deal structures, covenant terms, and collateral characteristics to inform investment decisions and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with investment teams, legal counsel, and external advisors to negotiate terms and structure transactions in alignment with investment objectives and risk parameters.
- Prepare and review valuation reports, disclosures, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and investors.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the valuation process, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency through automation, technology solutions, and best practices.
- Develop and implement valuation policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistency, transparency, and accountability in the valuation process.
- Lead and mentor a team of valuation professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
