We are seeking a Manager or Vice-President to collaborate with staff in assisting senior professionals as detailed in the Responsibilities and Requirements sections below. The ideal candidate will have a background in valuation, forensic accounting, and/or financial due diligence methodologies.

This role offers the opportunity to engage with highly driven professionals and leverage your analytical, project management, and organizational capabilities to ensure successful project outcomes. As representatives of Hilco, our professionals uphold the highest standards of integrity and recognize the significance of ethical conduct, personal accountability, and client dedication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit leadership by guiding the team in the preparation of expert analyses, reports, and presentations.
  • Act as the primary contact for external clients and internal team members.
  • Develop high-quality consulting services for attorneys, general counsels, and boards of directors to ensure that the final deliverables support comprehensive and substantiated expert financial opinions.
  • Make substantial contributions to expert analyses in finance, accounting, valuation, or related fields, producing both written and quantitative outputs.
  • Construct financial models, including cash flow analyses, business valuations, economic damages assessments, and other analyses tailored to project requirements.
  • Innovate solutions to complex challenges by employing creative thinking and expand existing project revenue opportunities through the development of unique analyses.
  • Support the revenue-generating activities of senior Hilco colleagues.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by participating in industry events, continuing education programs (CLE and CPE), authorships, or other outreach initiatives as appropriate.
  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for junior team members.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of reports and other client deliverables.
  • Contribute to the growth and expansion of the practice.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, expert services, investment or commercial banking, valuation, accounting, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics; advanced degrees and professional certifications are highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with market intelligence platforms (CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, etc.).
  • Experience in finance, accounting, and valuation, including trend analysis and producing written and quantitative outputs.
  • Proven ability to create financial models, conduct cash flow analyses, and perform business valuations and forensic analyses as required by each project.
  • Strong review skills for expert reports, presentations, proposals, and other deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and writing abilities.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to dispute and valuation work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet project deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
