About the Private Capital Team
The Private Capital team is dedicated to delivering innovative financial solutions to middle-market companies through directly sourced investments that yield attractive risk-adjusted returns. The team has a proven track record of investing significant capital across numerous transactions on behalf of a diverse range of global clients.
Position Summary
We are looking for an Associate-level investment professional responsible for identifying and assessing new investment opportunities, monitoring current holdings, and preparing comprehensive fund performance reports. This role will work closely with the Private Capital leadership and collaborate with other professionals within the organization. Candidates should possess a background in credit investing, along with the analytical and modeling skills necessary to evaluate and oversee existing investments. Key to success in this role will be sound investment judgment, the ability to collaborate effectively with investment partners, a proactive approach, resourcefulness, and a strong sense of curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct industry and company research, developing detailed financial models to highlight key metrics for investment decision-making.
- Provide thorough analysis of company and due diligence information to support investment conclusions.
- Create accurate and adaptable financial models and scenario analyses.
- Prepare clear, precise, and comprehensive investment memoranda.
- Continuously monitor existing portfolio investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic foundation.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, direct lending, or private debt investing.
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Comfortable engaging in due diligence discussions with senior management, portfolio companies, sponsors, and other investment professionals.
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving situations.
- Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate a quick learning ability.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement plans. Work Environment
