Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a vital role in the asset management sector, taking on a variety of responsibilities within the portfolio reporting and analytics domain. The individual must thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven, and fast-paced environment, working with minimal supervision. Reporting directly to the PR&A Managing Director, the candidate will collaborate closely with investment, investor relations, and operations teams to deliver timely updates on borrowers' financial metrics, perform financial statement analysis, assess new credit exposures related to M&A activities, and oversee ongoing portfolio monitoring, including quarterly valuation reports for portfolio companies.

  • Continuously monitor investments to identify shifts in company fundamentals, industry trends, and security valuations that may impact the investment strategy.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, analyses, operational assessments, valuation guidance, industry insights, and market data, reporting findings to the investment team and management committee.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of credit and equity documentation, including credit agreements and subscription agreements.
  • Exhibit strong credit judgment and analytical skills when evaluating financial performance and reporting from portfolio companies, as well as assessing and underwriting additional debt requests.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in amendment negotiations and structuring.
  • Manage portfolio coverage responsibilities for 20 accounts.
  • Compile regular reports for portfolio and risk management, assisting in daily portfolio tracking analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a concentration in finance or economics.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in commercial corporate lending, corporate credit ratings, corporate banking, direct/private lending, leveraged finance, or underwriting. Candidates lacking strong corporate credit analysis skills will not be considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, financial accounting/modeling, complex capital structures, high yield covenant packages, and basic loan portfolio management and valuation.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
