The University of New Hampshire (UNH) is a public research university located in Durham, New Hampshire. It was founded in 1866 and is part of the University System of New Hampshire (System). UNH is known for its strong emphasis on research and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs. The university is a hub for research and innovation, with a particular focus on fields like marine science, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
In a newly expanded critical role, the Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration is a key partner in developing the Institution’s financial strategy. Working collaboratively with President Elizabeth Chilton and University leadership, as well as the Board of Trustees, the EVPFA ensures that the institution's operational and capital resources are deployed responsibly and consistently with its strategic plan.
The EVPFA will directly report to the President, Elizabeth Chilton, and serve as a key member of the President’s Cabinet, critical campus stakeholders, and the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) financial team. The EVPFA will be responsible and accountable for a diverse portfolio of divisional units, including the full suite of finance, facilities, real estate, hospitality and campus services, human resources, legal, risk management, and police. UNH is currently evaluating changes to its budget model, and the EVPFA will have strong responsibility in helping to lead the selection and transition of the model. The ideal candidate will exhibit strategic, financial, and operational leadership skills and expertise and have a demonstrated track record of success in a role of analogous complexity in academia. An advanced degree is preferred.
