A prestigious law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Administrative Assistant to support their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative tasks, with experience in a legal environment. The Legal Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing various clerical and administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations within the legal department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and hard copy records. Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with state and federal courts.
  • Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys. Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal documents.
  • Serve as a point of contact between attorneys and clients, managing communications and addressing client inquiries as needed.
  • Assist attorneys with legal research using various databases and resources, compiling findings into concise reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of client invoices, time entry, and expense tracking, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Handle general office duties such as answering phones, processing mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.


Compensation:

$23 - $30/hr. depending on experience
