Legal Billing Coordinator

Trustpoint is proud to partner with a prestigious midtown law firm in their search of a Legal Billing Coordinator. This onsite, direct hire opportunity will be located at the firm's midtown Manhattan office in a highly congenial environment. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of law firm billing experience and previous experience with Elite 3E software.


Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and distribution of Proforma
  • Assist with bill production, including preparation and editing of draft bills and final bills
  • Correspond with and provide updates to attorneys regarding billing statements, AR and status of payments
  • Time entry review, ensuring accuracy
  • Updating database with client billing details and requirements
  • Periodic partner billing
  • Prepare spreadsheets on outstanding Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable as requested
  • Monthly client statement distribution, assisting in collections as needed
  • Month-end report review, ensuring reconciliation
  • Other duties and special projects as needed


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years' experience billing in a law firm
  • Experience with Elite 3E billing software; experience with eBilling
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
