Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager at Rembrandt Foods and Artisan Kitchens, you will play a key role in driving growth and expanding our market presence within the retail segment. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales Optimization, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the convenience channel (c-store), cultivating key relationships, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow market share and achieve sales objectives.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients and partners to drive new business.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the assigned channel.
  • Analyze customer needs and industry trends to develop tailored solutions and strategies.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Create and execute effective sales strategies and campaigns to target potential clients and expand market presence.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, from initial contact through to closing deals.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to support business development efforts.
  • Report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to the VP of Sales Optimization.
  • Develop and present regular updates and strategic recommendations based on performance metrics.
  • Revenue and Growth Targets:
  • Set and achieve sales targets and revenue goals specific to the assigned channel.
  • Monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong experience and network within the convenience store landscape
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support business development activities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry or related sectors.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics and trends specific to the c-store landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain successful client relationships.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
