Role Overview: The Strategic Project Manager will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing real estate development projects within Greenwood County, SC. Supporting both the Vice President of Real Estate Development and the Director of Residential Construction, this position requires a versatile project manager with strong organizational skills and experience in real estate development and construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Management:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing real estate development projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans leveraging Smartsheet and Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure project tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports and meeting notes.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to the VP of Real Estate Development and Director of Residential Construction.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across team members.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Assist in the development and management of project budgets, including tracking expenses and updating financial forecasts.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Quality and Risk Management:
- Assist in implementing quality control measures and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Identify potential project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
Permitting and Compliance:
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed to ensure project compliance.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the VP of Real Estate Development and Director of Residential Construction, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and managing project files.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Real Estate or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in real estate development or construction.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in project management software, specifically Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
- Proactive and self-motivated individual with a willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally, with a desire to pursue a dynamic career path within Front Light.
