Project Overview
The Compliance Operations Lead is knowledgeable about our data policies and integrity and privacy compliance requirements. They leverage a deep understanding of the regulatory environment, compliance processes and regular testing. They use their visibility into the ecosystem to identify refinement opportunities for technical, integrity, ethics, safety, and privacy standards for 3rd party applications on the Meta Quest platform. The ideal candidate is curious, empathetic, principled, detail-oriented, and attuned to changing integrity and privacy requirements.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Manage cycle based testing of safeguards by conducting reviews of evidence, reviewing documentation and supporting data
- Manage and resolve escalations by leveraging policy knowledge, effective communication, and problem-solving skills
- Work closely with Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, TPMs and Comms teams to identify gaps in process and tooling and lead the way in identifying solutions and implementing them
- Identify solutions for any gaps affecting operations by working with relevant partners, advocating for long term level solutions to common issues
- Complete regular data quality reviews and audits and develop and drive opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide support to employee and internal stakeholder inquiries around relevant processes, policy, and issues
- Develop strategic and operational plans to strengthen safeguard operations
Typical day in the role:
- Review status of open cases, follow up on outstanding evidence collection
- Check with Compliance Team on any new upcoming cases
- Update operational health of safeguards
- Record areas of improvement to the plan, review with stakeholders and make improvements
- Participate in a team activity - regular meeting or Friday VR time as an example
Mandatory Skills:
- Experience supporting compliance programs
- Experience managing escalations
- Experience managing confidential data
- Experience spotting risks and escalating as appropriate
- Experience creating strategic and operational plans
- Experience working independently and collaboratively
- Experience managing and organizing multiple large document files with varying deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer knowledge and various programs such as google suite, excel, project management tools
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, liberal arts, legal, or business-related field
- Working in compliance or a regulatory environment
- Experience in tech (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications / Nice to Have Skills:
- Shared services or paralegal experience
- Experience with policy development
- Experience in researching policy and historical documents
- Customer service experience
- Experience with data privacy, including GDPR, FTC, and risk/compliance management concepts in a global context
- Experience working in a global, large-scale, complex, fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
- Working with third party developers
- Familiarity with the VR or gaming industry
Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $76.00/Hr - USD $81.00/Hr and is a Non-Exempt role.
Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
