Role ResponsibilitiesThis position collaborates closely with the designated Line of Business, alongside other Risk/Compliance/Audit (RCA) professionals and RCA Managers, to establish, execute, sustain, assess, or supervise a robust risk and control management framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in initiatives that ensure adherence to relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identifying vulnerabilities and proposing solutions to mitigate losses stemming from insufficient internal processes, systems, or human errors.
- Recognizing, addressing, and escalating risks as necessary.
- Acting as a functional intermediary between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Emphasis on control functions, including the creation/modification, implementation, testing, and documentation of controls.
Conducting compliance assessments to ensure that risks and controls are recognized and proactively addressed to reduce customer impact, regulatory breaches, and financial exposure.
Essential Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Typically requires over five years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends affecting the assigned line of business.
- Advanced comprehension of the operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls of the business line.
- Comprehensive understanding of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
- Strong analytical abilities, process facilitation, and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in navigating various software applications, including Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Familiarity with the Archer eGRC platform.
- Knowledge of Business Line Control Environment (Risk Control Self-Assessment, Enterprise Compliance Risk Assessment, Financial Crimes Control, Fair & Responsible Banking, Fair Credit Reporting Act, etc.).
- Relevant professional certifications.
Work Arrangement
This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, requiring in-office attendance for three or more days per week, with the option to work remotely on other days.
