Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all leave programs, including coordination with company paid leave programs, Federal, state, and local jurisdictional leave and related pay issues
  • Facilitate an effective and robust leave management program by independently analyzing and managing multiple leave requests for a geographically dispersed workforce
  • Respond to procedural leave and disability questions based on Company policy, Federal/state laws, and insurance plans
  • Partner with the leave management vendor to evaluate, coordinate and manage administration of leave, leave tracking process, and leave transactions for accuracy.
  • Provide timely notifications to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners using HRIS (Workday) and other communication methods
  • Manage all return-to-work actions, including temporary restrictions and requests for accommodation ensuring compliance with ADAA and other applicable regulations. This will require acting as liaison with employees, managers, HR Business Partners and legal as required.
  • Conduct periodic company-wide Leave training sessions for managers and HR Business Partners
  • Act as first point of contact for basic benefits queries and issue resolution.
  • Support other benefits activities as needed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of basic benefit concepts and experience with plan administration and operations
  • Minimum of 5 years of Leave/accommodation and other benefits administration experience
  • Experience with multi-state benefits; preferred experience in states with paid family leave laws.
  • Experience with complex leave and accommodation cases preferred.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and cross-functionally and partner at multiple levels across the company to resolve issues and address sensitive, difficult, or challenging situations, often managing multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
  • A general understanding of payroll and accounting functions, specifically related to their interaction with benefits.
  • Must have HRIS experience, preferably with Workday
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Excel

Hourly Pay Rate 40-50hr
