Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Specialist to join our Client Services Team at Wilshire Benefits Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing enrollments and eligibility with insurance carriers, answering employee benefit advocate phone calls, and preparing open enrollment materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process additions/changes/deletions of member benefit enrollments with accuracy
  • Verify enrollments have been received with group insurance carriers
  • Create open enrollment materials, including employee guides for clients
  • Process ID card requests and other benefit-related questions
  • Answer employee benefit advocate calls and assist with education and/or claim issues
  • Log all activities into the tracking system with proper documentation
  • Assist Account Managers with new client onboarding and enrollment data audits
  • Ensure excellent, accurate, and effective service delivery is provided to all clients and their employees
  • Understand COBRA eligibility requirements and process COBRA activities with outside 3rd party COBRA administrators, as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of two years of professional experience
  • Experience in employee benefit programs and/or life and health insurance companies is a plus
  • License in Life and Health
  • Employee Navigator knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe
