Benefits Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Account Manager to join our team at Wilshire Benefits Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Group Benefit Consultant in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Support Benefit Consultant in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service
- Develop and maintain relationships with client contacts, including executives and human resource contacts
- Prepare and host open enrollment meetings, either in-person or via video conferencing
- Arrange client-facing meetings to discuss renewal processes, compliance, and healthcare reform updates
- Address client and employee inquiries regarding benefit plans, including enrollment and billing issues
- Manage ongoing relationships with the carrier community, including understanding product trends and plan design
- Develop expertise in employee benefits through professional development activities, including webinars and seminars
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of compliance, regulatory issues, and federal laws impacting employee benefits
- Document activities in CRM system and follow renewal and onboarding processes
- Take a proactive service approach with clients and Benefit Consultant needs
- Collaborate with Account Manager team for best practice solutions
- Escalate employee-level issues as needed
- Partial remote position with expectation to be in the office 3-4 business days a week
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field, and/or minimum of five years of experience in employee benefits industry
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
- 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of insurance carriers and employee benefits
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Active license in Life and Health
- Experience with Employee Navigator or Online Benefit Administration
- Experience with Docusign
- Ability to prospect and identify business needs, proposing various products and services
