Location: Atlanta area (Hybrid - 3 days in office)


Role Details:

GSquared Group is currently partnered with one of our key enterprise clients, a leading restaurant group, to identify a skilled Implementation Project Manager with a strong background in software implementations (ideally point-of-sale systems)


Position Overview: The Implementation Project Manager will play a crucial role in our expansion efforts, managing the end-to-end process of deploying thousands of POS systems over the next several years. This fast-paced role demands exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of POS systems, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building efficient workflows, managing vendor relationships, tracking budgets, and ensuring successful system implementations. Experience in network infrastructure environments would also be helpful.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful and timely rollout of POS systems.
  • Workflow Management: Design, implement, and optimize workflows to streamline the deployment process, from initial planning through to go-live and post-implementation support.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure all parties meet agreed-upon standards and deadlines.
  • Budget Tracking: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial constraints. Provide regular budget reports and forecasts.
  • Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams including technical support, installation specialists, and client representatives to ensure effective collaboration and execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues before they impact the project. Proactively resolve problems and manage project changes.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation process. Ensure clients are kept informed of project status, changes, and any issues that arise.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the POS systems meet all quality standards and perform as expected. Coordinate with QA teams for testing and validation before deployment.
  • Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting post-rollout, ensuring any issues are promptly addressed and resolved.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on implementing point-of-sale systems in retail environments. Proven track record of managing large-scale deployments.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated expertise in building and managing workflows, managing vendors, and tracking budgets. Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of POS systems, their components, and the associated software. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
