We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team as a Software Sales Representative.  This role will involve various responsibilities, including conducting market research to identify potential clients, preparing sales presentations and proposals, assisting in the development of marketing strategies, and engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences. The ideal candidate will have a 1 or more years software sales experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of software technologies, and a proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving sales targets and fostering customer relationships.

Primary position responsibilities include: 

 

Sales Coordination: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. 
  • Identify and qualify potential customers through networking, research, and lead generation activities. 
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers, highlighting key features and benefits. 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. 
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers to close sales deals. 
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences. 
  • Prepare sales presentations, quotations for clients.  
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral and promotional materials. 
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, sales pipeline status, and revenue forecasts. 
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market trends. 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to effectively position the software in the market. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing post-sales support and addressing any issues or concerns. 
  • Continuously improve sales skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.  
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote software and generate leads. 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Eagerness to learn about software products and software sales. 
  • Desire to learn about global ecommerce, online payments, and subscription sales. 
  • Availability to work full-time in office environment.

Physical Setting:  

  • This position is based in downtown Minneapolis  
  • 100% company-paid parking or bus passes available 


Schedule:  

  • Monday to Friday 
  • This is an on-site position with telework available occasionally or on a limited basis at the discretion and prior approval of the supervisor and may shift due to changes in business needs.   

 

This is a full-time position based in our Minneapolis office.
