The opportunity:

Scoot is inviting applications to join us as our Manager of Recruitment Optimization (MRO). This is a newly created role, designed to oversee and improve our recruitment practices across the entire organization.


When does the position start?

As soon as we find the right person It’s a new position, so we’re not in a hurry, but will make the hire immediately once the right candidate presents.


The role:

The core mission of the Manager of Recruitment Optimization (MRO) is to oversee and improve our recruitment processes, and and above all else, ensure we are providing a quality applicant experience. The position works across teams, as well as going up and down levels within the org. One day, you’ll be setting strategy and managing a large advertising budget, the next you’ll be providing 1:1 coaching with a new teammate on best practices. Ultimately responsible for ensuring we have the supply of educators to meet the demand of our partner school, this position has clear metrics of success and requires someone who is fanatical about their craft, and able to influence others to contribute to our shared goals.


You’ll work on:

  • Setting recruitment strategy, at both org-wide and regional levels
  • Managing an advertising budgeting, and overseeing its implementation
  • Collaborating with regional leaders to align on supply and demand
  • Internal coaching others on recruitment best practices
  • Reporting and data analytics
  • ATS management


You should have:

  • 5+ years experience in recruitment, specifically in high-volume temporary staffing
  • Held positions both as a recruiter, as well as more senior roles of leadership and responsibility within the recruitment or talent acquisition function
  • Expertise building and maintaining applicant tracking systems
  • Demonstrated skill in finding, analyzing and utilizing data
  • The ability to make connections within and across lines, and use these to positively influence others
