Field Service Technician

The purpose of this position, based out of our Baltimore facility, is to perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects.


Responsibilities

1. Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.

2. Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.

3. Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.

4. Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.

5. Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.

6. Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.

7. Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections. equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.

8. Effectively complete forms and read and understand procedures and safety information.

9. Drive company vehicle to and from customer worksite.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Hold a Valid Drivers License
  • 6+ months experience preferred
  • Confined space entry certification preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment criteria

Physical Demands

  • The position is frequently required to…
  • Stand, walk, use hand and fingers to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must lift up to 50 pounds
  • Vision Capabilities include: Close Vision, Far Vision, peripheral vision, Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • This position will require wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Will work at elevated heights and confined spaces.
