Job Summary

Fitness Machine Technicians of Baltimore/DC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform repair and preventive maintenance services for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair various pieces of fitness equipment at customer locations
  • Identify replacement parts needed for repairs and assemble/disassemble equipment as required
  • Complete accurate and thorough customer work order reports using our Field Service Management software
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner to explain repairs and equipment failures
  • Occasionally lift heavy equipment
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with a digital multi-meter preferred
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Ability to use a phone/tablet for scheduling and job reports
  • Daily local travel required
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • A self-starter with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and plan, organize, and manage a variety of tasks
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check
