HR Generalist

Job Description

Overview:

The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources functions. This position will be primarily responsible for managing the new hire process, conducting background checks, and overseeing the application process.

Responsibilities:

  • New Hire Processing:
  • Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks, including reference verification, drug testing, and background checks.
  • Prepare and process employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Provide new hires with orientation and training materials.
  • Background Checks:
  • Initiate and oversee background checks for new hires and existing employees as required.
  • Review and analyze background check reports to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Address any discrepancies or concerns related to background check results.
  • Application Process:
  • Manage the application process, including reviewing resumes, conducting initial phone screenings, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of applicants and interview outcomes.
  • HR Administration:
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR).
