Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Water/Wastewater Services will be a key executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and overall performance of the Water and Wastewater division. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive industry knowledge and proven experience in managing large-scale water and wastewater operations. The SVP will ensure the division's alignment with the company's overall goals while maintaining the highest standards of service, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Water/Wastewater division that supports the company’s long-term goals and enhances operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This includes management of plant operations, infrastructure maintenance, and system improvements.
  • Collaborative Delivery in Construction: Lead the implementation of collaborative delivery methods in construction projects, such as Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private Partnerships (P3). Foster a culture of collaboration among all project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and with high-quality outcomes. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery through lessons learned and best practices in collaboration and integration.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the division's budget, including forecasting, financial planning, and cost control. Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes, and proactively adapt operations as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community leaders. Build and maintain strong relationships to support the division's objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the division's operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure the division is prepared to respond to emergencies and unforeseen challenges.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Drive initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative technologies and practices into the division's operations.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the water/wastewater industry, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior management role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and complex projects.

  • Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.


Compensation:

A competitive executive compensation package, including base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits, will be offered. Additionally, the company provides an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowing the SVP to gain equity in the company and directly benefit from its long-term success. This ESOP is designed to align the interests of the executive team with the overall performance and growth of the company, fostering a strong ownership culture.
