Senior Electrical System Engineer

Full-Time (40/hrs)

As an Electrical System Engineer, you will be responsible for providing skillful support for vehicle electrical systems work for launch & end-of-line architecture. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Represent the electrical team on evaluation drives
  • Conduct root cause & fix electrical issues on vehicles as they arise
  • Provide on-site support for vehicle builds at the assembly plant
  • Handle complex tasks & complicated situations under compressed timing
  • Provide outstanding planning, organization, & project management with accurate follow-up to accomplish multiple objectives
  • Communicate effectively with multi-functional teams
  • Provide expertise in CAN tools, Module software flashing, CAN network troubleshooting, Bus Queries, CAN log & data collection, VSCS

Required Skills:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 5+ years experience in automotive electrical systems
  • 5+ years of disciplined, team-based problem solving (6 sigma preferred)
  • Understanding of bill of materials. FMA, AIMS, DFMEA, Six Sigma
  • Experience in launching new vehicles and working with cross-functional team
  • Experience with Vector CAN tools, Module Software flashing, CAN network troubleshooting, Bus Queries, CAN log and data collection, MyCanic, Vehicle configuration (VSCS)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional & multi-functional teams
