We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Electrical Engineering Instructor to join our faculty at Henry Ford College. As an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Technology, you will be responsible for teaching and developing content for electrical engineering technology courses.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop content for electrical engineering technology courses, including measurable learning objectives, course materials, lab exercises, and assessment and evaluation questions.
- Develop and distribute an effective course syllabus, following college policies and incorporating required elements of the course master.
- Grade and return written work to students in a timely manner, and maintain appropriate records of students' attendance, intermediate, and final grades.
- Make every reasonable effort to attend scheduled staff meetings, and behave appropriately in dealing with students and staff to maintain a scholarly and professional atmosphere.
- Responsible for performing, analyzing, and reporting assessments of student learning.
- Earned bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electricity, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years full-time work experience required, with demonstrated mastery of associated software and technology.
- Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electricity, Electronics, or related field may be considered with a minimum of 7 years full-time work experience.
- Master's Degree would be a plus.
- Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electricity, Electronics, or related field, and experience in the operation, troubleshooting, and theory of transistors, motors, generators, three-phase transformers, and digital electronics.
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in teaching and developing content for electrical engineering technology courses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be required to work on a semester-by-semester basis, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and departmental needs.
