Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, credit, risk management, taxation, and treasury operations.
  • Direct the development and implementation of financial policies, planning, reporting, and controls, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage key accounting activities such as ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, revenue and asset accounting, and financial analysis and reporting.
  • Utilize advanced financial modeling skills to analyze trends, derive insights, and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with accounting standards and laws.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
  • Conduct audits, monitor financial conditions, and provide necessary information to external auditors while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assess the company's financial performance, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and lead projects to boost productivity and reduce operating costs.
  • Create, manage, and track budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with project and department goals and adherence to approved budgets.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, collaborating closely with the Chief People Officer on payroll, benefits, training, coaching, and performance management.


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic roles within medium to large-sized companies, preferably in the Architectural, Design, Engineering, or Construction fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • CPA or other relevant qualification preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial, and business principles; strong strategic thinking and effective leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead financial operations in companies with a size ranging from $50 million to $100 million.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial management software, specifically Deltek
  • Exceptional analytical skills and strategic aptitude
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates and a broad range of stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, agility, partnership, and positivity; collaborative and transparent leadership style
