Job Title: Director of Talent Acquisition

Location: Birmingham, AL (No Remote)

Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead the recruiting efforts, ensuring the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. This role involves overseeing a team of recruiters, developing employer branding strategies, and ensuring the company attracts and hires top-tier talent across various roles, including supply chain, 2500 stores, corporate positions, and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that supports the retail division's growth and business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify workforce needs and create talent pipelines for critical positions.
  • Monitor market trends and industry best practices to continually improve recruiting processes.
  • Create employee value proposition
  • Must have worked on a National level
  • Deep understanding of COE environment
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and talent acquisition specialists.
  • Establish performance metrics and goals for the talent acquisition team.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the recruitment team.
  • Recruitment Strategy & Execution:
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and ensure alignment with recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize recruiting strategies, improve time-to-fill, and enhance the quality of hires.
  • Employer Branding:
  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to attract top talent and promote the company as an employer of choice across multiple brands.
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to enhance the company’s presence on job boards, social media, and other recruitment platforms.
  • Enterprise Marketing
  • Diversity & Inclusion:
  • Champion diversity and inclusion in the talent acquisition process, ensuring a diverse talent pool for all positions.
  • Develop programs and partnerships to reach underrepresented talent communities.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure the delivery of quality services that align with the company’s recruitment goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 7-10 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a multi unit environment or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment law, and HR technologies.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and recruitment marketing platforms.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on results.
