Position Overview:

Our client seeks a dynamic Fleet & Safety Coordinator to fortify their team. As the Fleet & Safety Coordinator, you'll collaborate closely with the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager to ensure adherence to company standards, EPA, MSHA, DOT regulations, and safety protocols. Expect occasional travel, approximately 25% of the time, to various facilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct safety training sessions for drivers, emphasizing daily reporting procedures and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of regulatory compliance, including MSHA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and USCG requirements.
  • Compile and report essential documentation, both internal and governmental.
  • Perform routine facility inspections to assess safety practices and behaviors.
  • Champion a culture of safety, fostering an environment conducive to best practices.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager.
  • Offer guidance, training, and scheduling for location managers, ensuring consistency in safety protocols.
  • Lead classroom sessions for new hires, focusing on safety training.
  • Uphold and promote adherence to company policies and procedures.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of safety experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant experience or training preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA regulations advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret safety guidelines and operational instructions.
  • Professional demeanor with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and procedures.
