Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving growth and expanding the client's market presence within the global freight forwarding industry. Your primary role involves identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and promoting air and ocean freight services to potential customers. The ideal candidate will possess an international book of business within the Transatlantic routes. You'll collaborate closely with existing clients and actively seek out new prospects to achieve and surpass sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to generate new business opportunities in the air and ocean freight sector.
  • Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and market analysis.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to provide clients with tailored logistics solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to effectively communicate the value of the client's air and ocean freight services.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and the competitive landscape to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Regularly report sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to the sales management team.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance networking opportunities and promote the client's services.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
