Job Summary

The HR Operations Specialist will oversee the Human Resource function at a production facility, which includes planning, directing, and providing HR guidance to plant operations leadership, supervisory staff, and employees. This will include employment policies, compensation, training, labor relations, employee relations, and communications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Interprets labor agreements and provides guidance to supervisors, managers, and employees on performance/disciplinary issues.
  • Assists employees in resolving work-related concerns.
  • Supports Operations Managers on initiatives to improve employee relations, work environment, training, onboarding, recruitment, administrative processes, and safety.
  • Provides training to Supervisors and Employees on new policies and initiatives.
  • Ensures employment-related decisions are in compliance with company policies, State and Federal laws.
  • Researches industry trends and provides recommendations to ensure the company is using best practices.
  • Works as a partner with the HR Operations team to ensure consistency in policies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree; Preferably in HR.
  • 4-7 years' Human Resources generalist experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Organizational development experience including performance management, compensation, succession planning, and job profiles.
  • Experience in manufacturing/hourly workforce settings.
