LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an organization in Overland Park, KS, and assisting them search for a new Payroll Manger. The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll processes for employees across various international locations. This role involves ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations, managing payroll systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize payroll operations and enhance employee satisfaction.


Global Payroll Management:

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries, including payroll calculations, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international standards.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Stay current with global payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment legislation in all operating countries.
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with local laws and international regulations, including data protection and privacy standards.
  • Manage payroll audits and resolve compliance issues as they arise.

Payroll Systems and Technology:

  • Manage payroll software and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Analyze and leverage technology to streamline payroll processes and improve accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting departments to align payroll processes with company policies and financial goals.
  • Partner with local HR teams to address payroll-related employee queries and issues.
  • Coordinate with external payroll service providers and tax consultants as needed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present payroll reports and metrics to senior management, including analysis of payroll costs, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain payroll-related documentation and records.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in global payroll operations.
  • Implement best practices and standardize payroll processes across different regions where possible.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the global payroll team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Manage payroll staff and oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of team members.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CIPP) preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 3-5 years in a global payroll role or managing payroll for multiple countries.
  • In-depth knowledge of global payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
