Key Responsibilities- Process and manage bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, including reviewing timecards and other payroll information, processing corrections, setting up and maintaining proper earnings, deduction, and withholding files, and entering data into the payroll system.
- Interact with supervisors as required to verify information and resolve discrepancies.
- Process wage garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding their payroll checks, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and other concerns.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to maintain employee records.
- Maintain records of Payroll deductions, Vacation Time, PTO, and other spreadsheets and documents related to payroll.
- Track PTO, Vacation, Bereavement, Jury Duty, and other time-off requests.
- Perform verifications of employment.
- Assist the Human Resources department with other various tasks as needed.
- Proven payroll processing experience.
- Must be organized and pay great attention to detail.
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Prior experience with Paylocity and Global Shop is a plus.
- Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
