Payroll Services Manager Overview PEMEX Deer Park is in search of a skilled professional to take on the role of Payroll Services Manager within our intricate refinery operations. As a key member of the PEMEX group, we prioritize the welfare of our workforce and the environment while actively contributing to the local community.

Position Summary:
The Payroll Services Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of payroll functions for our organization, which comprises over 1000 employees, including both Union and Non-Union payroll systems. The successful candidate will ensure the precision, punctuality, and quality of payroll information while leading a team dedicated to delivering outstanding service and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversee complex payroll processes, including incentive structures, bonus distributions, and annual merit evaluations.
  • Develop and uphold internal protocols and procedures to guarantee payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor Payroll Specialists to optimize system functionalities and provide necessary training and support.
  • Drive continuous improvements in processes and system upgrades.
  • Address and resolve intricate payment discrepancies promptly.
  • Generate payroll reports and collaborate with the accounting department as required.
  • Work closely with benefits administration to ensure correct deductions for employee benefits.
  • Manage and reconcile contributions to 401K plans.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity within payroll.
  • Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in managing both union and non-union payrolls.
  • Ability to operate in a hybrid work environment.
  • Possession of a current TWIC card or the capability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
