Job Description:

The Mailroom Specialist is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming mail. The Mailroom Specialist is the primary contact for all inbound and outbound mailing concerns and requires exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will respond to frequent and urgent requests for information about envelopes, filings, filing checks, tax forms and packages. The Mailroom Specialist is charged with managing and maintaining all documents pertaining to Social Security filings and check stubs for management and provides assistance as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Open and sort all mail with minimum 3-4 deliveries per day (FedEx Express, USPS, FedEx Ground, UPS)
  • Maintain spreadsheets for packages, cash, bank statements, hearing dates
  • Scan and forward patient statements, documents, Medicaid letters to all employees
  • Complete Social Security reports
  • File tax forms, Social Security award letters, Social Security letters, direct deposit stubs
  • Data entry and electronic filing
  • Delivering mail to all Brooklyn employees
  • Search and verify patient information in PTS systems and AMP systems
  • Use Census to create ledgers and relative list spreadsheets
  • Cut checks weekly for patient cash
  • Make sure all checks are labeled with facility names
  • Sort checks by department


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong PC skills

  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour-dependent on experience
