As an Electrical Technician at Haleon, you would be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying electrical systems and equipment and documenting your work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment involved in facility maintenance in a cGMP environment.

In this role, your daily responsibilities may include the following:

  • Maintaining and modifying electrical systems within the facility to include but not limited to HVAC, compressed air, water systems, vacuum systems, and building management systems (BMS).

  • Performing complex troubleshooting and repairs to ensure accuracy and reliability of cGMP facilities equipment.

  • Researching, writing, and revising technical documentation. Providing technical assistance for investigations when equipment or system failure occurs.

  • Coordinating projects and repairs with engineering and other in-house support groups. Overseeing technical repairs performed by outside contractors on process equipment. Contacting equipment manufacturers and vendors for information.

  • Documenting maintenance work following the ALCOA+ principles. Recording repairs and maintenance performed. Recording parts and materials used and ordering new parts and materials, as necessary.

  • Completing root cause analysis on equipment failures to find root cause and proper countermeasures.

  • Performing any additional tasks as required by immediate supervisor following the Haleon expectations and values.

  • This role is for 2nd shift, Monday – Friday.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: 

  • Associate’s degree in Electromechanical Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or an electrical license. Alternatively, high school diploma and equivalent work experience.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical system installation, operational techniques, safety compliance, instrumentation, controls, and building automation systems.

  • Demonstrated ability in interpreting and applying specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions to perform installation, repair, and modification work.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as an automation or electrical technician.

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and systems, including automated material handling, lean manufacturing practices, GMPs, SOPs, validation issues, and change control processes.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety compliance.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience in identifying root causes of equipment failures.

  • Familiarity with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP).
