Electrical Assembly Operator

The Manufacturing Process Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and equipment involved in the assembly, inspection, testing, and packaging of electrical breakers. This position requires a systematic approach to various tasks, which are rotated among team members throughout the shift. The primary responsibilities include managing machine operations, performing manual assembly on the production line, and packaging finished products into shipping containers.
- The main objective of this role is to oversee and operate both automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
- Certification in skill levels is necessary to qualify for different rotation tasks.
- The technician will handle one or more machines and manage product flow in a fast-paced environment.
- The work schedule consists of a standard 40-hour week, with potential overtime based on production demands.
- In instances of line interruptions, a quickened work pace may be required to meet production goals.
- A GED or High School diploma is mandatory.
- Capability to meet production standards while ensuring part quality.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to inspection procedures for electrical breakers.
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- A commitment to safety, effective communication with supervisors and technical staff, sound judgment, and teamwork.
- Ability to manage stress, follow protocols, resolve issues, and stay dedicated to tasks.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask independently.
- Frequent standing and walking for up to eight hours, with opportunities for task rotation.
- Occasional use of upper body strength to maneuver products and perform assembly tasks.
- Lifting of items weighing between 10-25 lbs may be required.
- Visual inspections of parts for quality control will be part of the role.
